We prioritize updated operating systems over the official and unsupported ones. For example, we would rather direct users to Wood R4 rather than the original R4 system files which haven't been updated for years.

=Clones & Fakes=
=Clones & Fakes=
*'''Clone''' flashcarts are copies of other original cards (i.e., the M3 Simply is a clone of the Original R4 DS. Systems that run on the R4 DS run the same way on the M3 Simply).
*A '''fake''' flashcart is a device that steals the name of a well-known original card, which is nothing like it. (i.e., the R4 Upgrade is a fake R4 DS that is not compatible with any of the system files available for the Original R4 DS (a fake card uses its own separate system files)).
*There are instances where it can be a clone of a clone, which means that the card is a clone of an original card that is fake. Many flashcarts sold today are either clones of the Original R4 DS (Ace3DS+ and R4 DS Pro) and DSTT(i) (R4i-SDHC, www.r4i-sdhc.com).
==Ace3DS (Original)==
:Clone of the DSTT(i). This card should not be confused with the most popular [[Ace3DS Plus]] cards.
:Its circuit board is identical to that of the R4i 3DS Unlimited Upgradable and R4i New ''Genaration'' V2.55 cards from r4i-gold.hk, as well as the R4i V1.41 from ndsiLL.net. Both firmware updates are cross exchangeable with one another.

*Firmware update: https://web.archive.org/web/20131230154953/http://www.r4i-gold.hk/3DS4.2_1.44_UPDATE.zip
==Ace3DS+==
:Clone of the R4 i.L.S. with backwards compatibility for DSi and 3DS models.
:This cart is not longer produced by the Ace Team; however, clones are being sold today usually as 'xxx-in-1 multicards' or without a label.

Latest revision as of 11:19, 14 February 2025

 This page may need to be updated with the newest available information.
 Please edit the page with new information and remove this Template when finished!

This page will attempt to provide a comprehensive guide to which firmware, kernel or system files you need to download for your flashcart. We prioritize updated operating systems over the official and unsupported ones. For example, we would rather direct users to Wood R4 rather than the original R4 system files which haven't been updated for years.

The list should be sorted alphabetically.

Clones & Fakes

  • Clone flashcarts are copies of other original cards (i.e., the M3 Simply is a clone of the Original R4 DS. Systems that run on the R4 DS run the same way on the M3 Simply).
  • A fake flashcart is a device that steals the name of a well-known original card, which is nothing like it. (i.e., the R4 Upgrade is a fake R4 DS that is not compatible with any of the system files available for the Original R4 DS (a fake card uses its own separate system files)).
  • There are instances where it can be a clone of a clone, which means that the card is a clone of an original card that is fake. Many flashcarts sold today are either clones of the Original R4 DS (Ace3DS+ and R4 DS Pro) and DSTT(i) (R4i-SDHC, www.r4i-sdhc.com).

Ace3DS (Original)

Clone of the DSTT(i). This card should not be confused with the most popular Ace3DS Plus cards.
Its circuit board is identical to that of the R4i 3DS Unlimited Upgradable and R4i New Genaration V2.55 cards from r4i-gold.hk, as well as the R4i V1.41 from ndsiLL.net. Both firmware updates are cross exchangeable with one another.

Ace3DS+

Clone of the R4 i.L.S. with backwards compatibility for DSi and 3DS models.
This cart is not longer produced by the Ace Team; however, clones are being sold today usually as 'xxx-in-1 multicards' or without a label.
