A-Data Super 1GB Taiwan 1000 10.3 1.6 Purchased at Meritline. SanDisk Imagemate 12 in 1 (a good reader) Ran the long test twice. Tested at near full capacity. Castlevania DoS intro plays fine. Tried PoR, it freezes when I spam start at Wind
A-Data Super 2GB Taiwan 2000 9.2 1.9 DeathMonk Using a PNY (I think) multi-reader. This card freezes in PoR when spamming wind (or whatever his name is), spamming that shop guy and spamming the warp.
Corsair MicroSD 1GB MicroSD 1000 10.4 10.5 0.7 Tokas Purchased from Komplett.se SanDisk ImageMate 5 in 1 Reader.
Dane-Elec SD-C01G JAPAN 1GB Japan 1000 2.6 5.2 bollocks My SD reader is dodgy at best. My phone identifies it as a Toshiba, so it's almost certainly the same as the other Toshiba/Kingston Japan cards.
Kingston 512MB (T512SAFAS 6401251) Taiwan 512 6.3 1.1 shaunj66 Purchased from a French website. A high speed USB 2.0 card reader.
Kingston 512MB (0631G17839U SD-C512) Japan 512 4.3 1.9 id242 SC(ONE) Score = 30. RETAIL, purchased from Frys Electronics. Fresh FAT16 format with nothing but the OS and DoS & PoR copied for my testing. SC(ONE) plays DoS intro perfectly and not a single crash on PoR either. The SC(ONE) gives it a score of "30" and I can run most games at 4x without any problems. SC.lite plays the DoS intro perfectly and not a single crash on PoR.
Kingston 1GB Japan 1000 10.4 0.7 comapro SanDisk Imagemate 12 in 1. DoS intro - no lag. PoR - no crashes.
Kingston MicroSD 1GB SDC/1GB MicroSD Japan 1000 8.3 8.5 fischju Purchased from Meritline

Kingston MicroSD 1GB SDC/1GBKR MicroSD Taiwan 1000 4.3 2.5 Purchased from Meritline, Incredibly slow i almost want to throw this card out. Crashes on POR frequently.
Kingston 1GB 0652U24942U SDC Japan 1000 10.4 0.6 jelbo Tiny PNY USB2.0 MicroSD reader. FAT16, default cluster size, filled with 967MB data.
Kingston SD-C01G Japan 7.3 2.2 Magikalfly Bought from a dude on ebay after confirmation that it was Japan. PoR has crashed a few times
Kingston SD-C01G Japan 5.3 0.8 SpaceJump
Kingston SD-C01G Japan 9.3 1.3 Fli_guy84 Tested with PQI Card Reader. Got this from the Dealextreme.com R4 deal. Formatted with FAT16 Default Clusters. No freezes with PoR.
Kingston SD-C02G MicroSD Japan 19.2 0.9 jacare999 FAT32 formatted card, tested with SanDisk Extreme reader.
Kingston 1GB SD Taiwan 1000 10 1.6 SynGamer I bought mine at Buy.com and it is labeled as a Kingston 1 GB microSD. I used the Bonzai USB Flash Drive by SimpleTech, along with the included Kingston microSD Adapter, to test my microSD card. The card has the following on the back of it: "SDC/1GB 30785-001-A00LF Taiwan" So far every game i have tried (except Castlevania: PoR) has worked perfectly. MP3's included.
Kingston 1GB Taiwan 1000 10.8 1.6 comapro
SanDisk ultra II microSD 1.0 GB Taiwan 10.7 0.9 jacare999 FAT16 formatted card, tested with SanDisk Extreme reader.
Sandisk SDDR-113 SDHC 4GB Micro SDHC Japan 4000 10.9 1.0 shaunj66 Notes. (umm the SDDR-113 is a reader, did you mean SDSDQ-4096-E11M which comes with the SDDR-113 bundled?)

Microdia 1GB XtraPlus (MSDC-1GB-30D2)(E247TN01G-NOBB0638)

  • Reported by Sebokie
  • Made in China (box)
  • Random Access: 2.0ms
  • Average Read: 9.3MB/s
  • Burst Speed: 9.5MB/s
  • Note: purchased from Amazon.fr. Freezes although rarely on C:PoR. Reader Sandisk Mobilemate.

PNY 1GB P-SDU1G-RF3

  • Reported by DeathMonk
  • Made in: Japan
  • Random Access: 1.2ms
  • Read: 9.4MB/s
  • Notes: Same 9in1 reader I tested my A-DATA Super 2GB with. Castlevania PoR: No problems whatsoever... Even trying to get it to lock up. Seems to play the opening video at a higher framerate than my a-data--could be just me though.

PQI 1GB

  • Reported by magikalfly
  • Made in Taiwan
  • Random access 2.3ms
  • Average read 6.4 MB/s
  • Notes: Purchased from Meritline.com Tested with USB 2.0 flash reader. I tested with the card almost full. About 900 megs on it. No problematic game so far. Intro to Castlevania DOS plays pretty choppy. No problems in-game though. Haven't tested POR. Edit: POR crashes... :(

Ridata 1GB

  • Reported by magikalfly
  • Made in Taiwan (I think)
  • Random access: 3.2ms
  • Average read: 6.4MB/s
  • Notes: Purchased from meritline.com. Tested with USB 2.0 flash reader. Tried test with other readers as well and same result. I got it because it was suppose to be the fastest microsd card out there but speeds aren't as I had hoped. It also crashes on PoR.

Sandisk 512MB

  • Reported by jelbo
  • Made in China
  • Average read: 10,6MB/s
  • Random access: 1.3ms
  • Reported by magikalfly
  • Made in Taiwan
  • Random access 2.6ms
  • Average read 7.4 MB/s
  • Notes: Purchased from ebay. Tested with USB2.0 flash reader. It's an old card I got to use with my phone. Tested with 440 megs on it. I only use this with my phone so no games tested.
  • Reported by zatelli
  • Random access 1.7 ms
  • Average read 9.3 MB/s
  • Burst speed: 9.5 MB/s
  • Notes: Shipped with my cellphone. This card, which has some issues with problematic games (white screen which lasts a couple of seconds in most games (including nanostray, New Super Mario Bros, Castlevania POR) has benchmark stats specifications similar to those of my recently purchased Toshiba (J) 1GB uSD.

Sandisk 1GB

  • Reported by SpaceJump
  • Made in Taiwan
  • Random Access: 1.3ms
  • Average read: 5.2MB/s
  • Notes: Crashes rarely on PoR.

SanDisk 2GB

  • Reported by id242
  • Made in Taiwan
  • Random access 2.4ms
  • Average read 4.2MB/s
  • SC(ONE) Score = 5
  • Notes: RETAIL, purchased from Verizon the day they were released. Fresh FAT16 format with nothing but the OS and DoS & PoR copied for my testing. I've found that my SanDisk 2gb MicroSD is absolutely horrible for transferring files to and from. On the SC(ONE) the DoS intro is unbearably choppy and the DS(ONE) gives it a maximum score of "5" (which is 2x). If i set the speed for anything faster than 2x in the SC(ONE) settings, many games freeze up during/or halfway through booting. The card works great on the SC.Lite though the DoS intro, about half-way into it, does not run smooth (but more smoothly than on the SCSD) and PoR gets random freezes.

Toshiba SDC-01G-T 1GB

  • Reported by 111111111
  • Made in Japan
  • Random Access : 1.7ms
  • Average Read : 4.3MB/s.
  • Notes: Tested with the R4 bundled USB MicroSD reader (different to all the pics I've seen on the net, a small translucent black one - seems quite sturdy/solid, if a little slow) which is obviously the speed bottleneck. I don't have any other adapter to test with. I've had absolutely no problems with this card - tested 50ish games so far (including both castlevania games) - except for the 'none realtime' in tony hawk downhill jam.

Toshiba SD-C01GR2W (SD-C01G) 1GB

  • Reported by DeathMonk
  • Made in Japan
  • Random Access: 1.2ms
  • Read: 9.4MB/s
  • Notes: PNY multi reader. Castlevania: Works like a charm. Same results as my PNY SD-C01G. It's pretty safe to say that if you get a SD-C01G you're good... No matter what manufacturer.

Toshiba SDC-01G-T 1GB

  • Reported by Farami9

  • Notes: Purchased from totaldiscountstores.com (which is an ebay store) Tested with a Sandisk mobilemate SD+ USB2.0 flash reader. My card was almost full when tested. Haven't had a single issue with any game so far, it even whips Castlevania POR. BTW, I've Run the quick benchmark test 3 times & the results I've posted are the worst I've got.
