Could use a standard encoding to submit japanese text for game names (useful as frequently people will romanise incorrectly and confuse the f*ck out of anyone who knows the actual game title) - Suggested UTF8 --Norgus 11 November 2008
The article could use a mention of how to add and format new entries to prevent confusion... Also, what to do if a game only works in a certain Hook Type? --Sara-chan 21:31, 25 October 2008 (CEST)
Please if you can, put your new game entries in alphabetical order to make things cleaner and more organized. Cr08 06:47, 28 October 2008 (CET)
- It doesn't matter what order you put the games in - clicking the icon next to "Game Name" will sort alphabetically. Same for the other columns.
If a game only works under a certain Hook-Type then mention it in the notes column.
I just tested Lego: Indiana Jones, WiiMusic, MySims, Deca Sports, and Samba de Amigo. All 1:1 NTSC-USA ISOs. They all worked. The opening video on MySims was a little choppy and I'm not sure if the create-a-character mode is quite up to full speed but it plays great!
Do we still need to use backup-creator.exe?
- No, if you read the official FAQs you would know that games are actually MORE compatible if they are not patched/decrypted...any version of 0.3 plays 1:1 backups as is.Kiwisoup 09:25, 17 November 2008 (CET)

with the imminent release of 0.3 gamma, should this article be made into 0.3 beta and then a new 0.3 gamma wiki be made? or should it all just be in here? --70.75.189.37 23:03, 10 November 2008 (CET)
- I think the same thing should be done as what was done when v0.3 came out on the original compatibility matrix...people made notes on the old matrix when they were using 0.3, and it kept the original name. There was also another matrix just for 0.3 made, this one. I DON'T think it should be renamed, that would add confusion and make it seem like all the comments are from people using the gamma loader when MOST of them actually aren't Kiwisoup 09:32, 16 November 2008 (CET)
Rayman Raving Rabbids TV ...problem ?
it said in the report the it works . well it worked on my wii but there are lines on top and bottom of the tv and if you drag the hand to the bottom or top , you can see it on either side and everytime i click something , it flashes black screen . is it just mine or ...what ? pls solve the problem ( if it's just the back up ) because i got this from my friend's legal copy. also , when i try to turn it off , it seems to freeze and i have to turn it off by unplug the power cord.
Yes / No under 1:1
If both Yes and No are listed under 1:1, what exactly does that mean? I was looking at Cooking Mama 2 for my friend, and that was displayed... so does that mean I have to patch or no. Ph15h
- If both are listed that means both will work, but if it isn't patched already I wouldn't patch it, because you don't have to and games are usually more compatible if they are 1:1. Not to mention they won't load in the Disc Channel. Kiwisoup 09:04, 5 December 2008 (CET)
Things that shouldn't be posted under the COMMENTS section?
There's a lot of things that people put under the comments section that I feel are unneeded, and was wondering what exactly other people thought was unnecessary...perhaps the rules could be changed to reflect them and clean the article up a bit. Here's my input.
-Putting works great, works 100%, etc. If a game works, don't put anything...how hard is that? Only put comments if there is a problem.
-Pointing out longer loading times and video stuttering...these are way to common to post for every game that has them and people should expect this in most games anyways.
-If you are running system menu 3.4...why are you even bothering to post that a game isn't working for you? seriously, get a brain.
-If you are the only one having a problem when a game is confirmed to work, don't post anything about the game.
-Specifying that a SCRUBBED version of a game was used. Scrubbing takes out junk files that aren't accessed by the Wii anyways, there's really no difference, and I've never heard a single instance where a scrubbed version either improved or reduced compatibility
-You really don't need to say what region your Wii is, what settings you used, or anything like that if the game is working fine...unless you are the only one who seems to have it working
-If there is a really specific bug you encounter, make sure it's not a glitch in the actual game itself...
Here are some perfect examples:
-"Error on first play but fine on all subsequent loads, have tested it on 8 different disks burning at X4 speed, 1.1 copy, works fine about 95% speed compared to original"
-"100% in gamma, game speed perfect audio and video spot on and not a single error (pal console gc hook with rebooter)"
-"PAL Scrubbed, 0.3gamma, PAL Console."
-"PAL 1:1 The videos are choppy but all else works fine Beta 0.3 "
-"Works Flawlessly|PAL Scrubbed,0.3gamma,PAL console. "
-"Green screens if forced to PAL ; WiFi scores work; Works fine on PAL (3.2E) Not forced to PAL used 1:1 " (About an NTSC-U game)
-"very fine for me "
-"Slow Loading"
-"A little slow loading but works well on gamma"
Editing Backup Launcher v3
What is Editing Backup Launcher v3? It looks like a copy of this page - which is more accurate? Should they be merged?--Pelago 15:12, 5 January 2009 (CET)
