This page will list only known incompatible games, the reason (when known) and the method to play them, if possible.

How to add a game to the list

There's currently no template for this list. use copy/paste.

New games will likely not work with old firmware, so instead of listing all future games as not working with FW1.0, limit the incompatibility list to games unplayable on any up to date firmwares.

After a Flashcard firmware release, add to the list only the games not working with the latest release.

In the flashcard columns, list the first/minimum working flashcard's firmware version. In the EmuNAND column, put the game's bundled 3DS Firmware version.

Game Incompatibility

Known reasons why a game is not working

- Card 2: The game use a "Card 2" cartridge with a single NAND chipset to store both Game and Savedata, instead of using a "Card 1" cartridge with an external EEPROM to store save data.

- Boot Logo: Since SDK5.0, The (Nintendo) logo displayed at the bottom of the game's booting screen is located outside of the ExeFS in the NCSD. Unable to locate the file, the game can't boot.

- Add future reasons here.

Known Issues

- Save encryption: Games using the new KeyY method for encrypting save data (SDK6.0+, FW6.0+) will still use the old method if played through EmuNAND Classic because they are running under 4.5.0-10. Existing cartridge's save data created when playing on a RealNAND 6.1.0+ will be reseted and lost if played on EmuNAND Classic. The problem is present the other way too, playing on EmuNAND first will reset the save data if you play the game on RealNAND later. If you start on EmuNAND, and loose the ability to launch EmuNAND (or later the flashcart teams find a way to use the new KeyY while in EmuNAND), you will loose your progress. It's affecting all new games bundled with a firmware update 6.0+, even if not listed in the table.
