From WikiTemp, the GBAtemp wiki

Each user is invited to create and edit their own user page, where they can post information about themselves, their hobbies, interests, favourite games, etc.

Getting started

To get started, first check the Members of GBAtemp category for your user name. If it's already there, you can click on the link to proceed to view and edit your page. If not, you can create your user page yourself.

Members who have (or intend to have) a user page and also have an account on the wiki, should read 'If you have an account on the wiki'.

Creating your user page

There are two ways to create your user page.

  • The first (and easiest) method is to click the "Wiki" button beneath any of your posts on the forums.

  • The second method is to edit the Sandbox page, create a link, and click on it. The link should use the following format:
[[your user name]]

Note that you don't even have to save the page, just clicking on the "Show preview" button will allow you to click on the link.

  • The third method is by replacing the page name in the URL with your username. The format is as follows:
http://wiki.gbatemp.net/wiki/your user name

All of these methods will take you to the page which you are then free to edit.

If using the second or third methods, don't worry about uppercase/lowercase letters and special characters, just type your user name exactly how it appears on the forums (the wiki automatically adjusts these if necessary).

Important: At the bottom of the page, be sure to include the following:

[[Category:Members of GBAtemp]]

If you have an account on the wiki

If you have registered an account on the wiki, it is highly recommended to redirect your wiki 'User:' page to the user page you have already created (can also be done vice versa if you wish, as long as the page without the User: prefix is the one that has the category link in it). This way when users click your user name anywhere in the wiki (for example, in a page's edit history), they will be redirected to your personal user page. To do this, click your user name at the top of the screen while logged in. This will allow you to edit the page.

Insert the following text and save the page:

#REDIRECT [[your user page]]
