Tempbot is a name used for various bots that are present on GBAtemp:

  • On the GBAtemp forum, it serves as a news bot that takes over newcomers' news posts to prevent them from editing.
  • On the (now defunct) GBAtemp cheats forum, it was used to post news on occasion (though not actually automated). It mainly represents the GBAtemp staff from the main forum.
  • On the GBAtemp IRC server, it serves as the ChanServ bot of a few channels.
  • On this wiki, it is a simple bot account that can be used for bot actions if needed. It also has Sysop rights. Maintained by the Wiki Administrator.
  • Tempbot is notorious among members for having posted cryptic messages unexpectedly.
